It seems like sportsman David Beckham’s wife and former Spice Girl, Victoria Beckham is turning out to be quite lucky for Bollywood actor Sonam Kapoor. Not only has a dress designed by the international fashionista earned the Indian actor a coveted slot in the ‘best dressed’ list of an international fashion monthly last week, it seems that she’s also hit the right note and may gain a friend in her.

Sonam recently not only featured among the top five of an internationally renowned fashion magazine’s best dressed list, she also outdid pop diva Lady Gaga by a decent margin of votes.

The dress that gained international attention was a Victoria Beckham outfit, and the fact that it featured among the best dressed did not seem to have escaped Victoria’s notice. She posted a picture of the Indian actor in an orange and green ensemble and tweeted: “Beautiful actress @sonamakapoor wearing #victoriabeckham.” It seems to be a picture taken during the promotions of her upcoming Abbas-Mustan film Players in Pune. The orange dress was from Beckham’s latest Spring-Summer collection. Sonam replied to the fashionista’s tweet: “Your dress makes me beautiful! Thank you! @victoriabeckham.”
Sources say that Victoria and Sonam might meet up soon when the actress goes to London next week. When contacted, Sonam, who’s in awe of Victoria, was thrilled with the Twitter acknowledgement. “Victoria Beckham is an incredibly sexy and stylish woman. She has an amazing sense of style. Being a well dressed woman herself, she knows exactly the cuts, the folds and the colours that compliment a woman. I love her dresses. In fact you will be seeing me wearing her dresses in my forthcoming film promotions too. She is my flavour of the season now,” she said.
