Two couples have a lot to be thankful for as the cast of Thank You fulfilled their dream of having a star-studded wedding

The entire cast of Thank You, including Akshay Kumar, Sonam Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Suniel Shetty, Celina Jaitley, along with director Anees Bazmee, attended two weddings yesterday evening at Madh Island, where they stood as witnesses for the respective ceremonies.

Couples, Hazel Thomas Monterio and Santosh Shinde and Suman Mishra and Kapil Mishra, shared a similar dream to have an extravagant wedding that celebrities would grace with their presence.

An eye witness said, "The couples had already registered at the Bandra court a month ago and they had the dream of having a grand wedding where stars would be invited.

However they had no film connections. But they knew someone in UTV and that’s how everything worked out.

While Suniel, Sonam Kapoor and Celina Jaitley became witnesses for one of the weddings, Akshay, Bobby and Aneesbhai became witnesses to the other one."

When contacted Anees Bazmee said, "It was an amazing thing. We got two couples marred here at this bungalow in Madh Island.

There was a pandit, pheras and the works. It was good fun. They had already applied a month back at the Bandra court and then yesterday evening they came here. They knew someone in UTV, who are the producers of our film Thank You.

It was a marketing strategy as our film is about marriage, divorce and infidelity. It was fun as Akshay was in his element. In fact he made the dulhas bend down and touch the feet of the dulhans. We all signed as the witnesses and it was nice."

Sounds like a nice way to say ‘Thank You’!
