Shahid Kapoor generally does not like to throw lavish parties to celebrate his birthday and so this time, when he decided to host a party for his industry friends, people wondered why.

Sources tell us that his birthday was to hit two birds with one stone. While on one hand, Shahid got a chance to meet and bond with his friends, he also got the opportunity to speak about his forthcoming film.

This inference is coming from the fact that his co-star in the film Sonam Kapoor, who was also at the party, gave interviews and spoke about the film to the media along with Shahid. Sonam certainly was the eye candy of the night.

Among others present was also Rani Mukerji who clearly has decided that this time she has got to stay fit. With Priyanka Chopra not able to come for this do (people are saying that they have broken up...well again), we were certainly hunting for the couple of the evening and Anushka Sharma and Ranveer Singh did not disappoint us at all with their joint entry.
