I was a sheltered, pampered child. At 16, I found myself in a boarding school abroad.

I was living alone, had to do everything and lived on limited money as I got $40 after every 10 days. However, this is the year that made me responsible, made me realise that I cannot live a cocooned life the way I did back home in Mumbai.

There is more to life, a lot had to be seen and experienced. At 16, I was travelling the world. I went to countries like Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia and other countries for project work. It changed my world-view and I became a responsible world citizen who cared for the planet we are living in. I became an adult at 16 when people become one between 18-21.

It is a time that I started taking a keen interest in plays. I graduated to loving movies and now I'm an actor. So 16 in a way shaped my destiny by making me a confident, strong and a responsible human being.
