Kolkata, July 31 (IBNS) Bollywood actor Sonam Kapoor dazzled Kolkata with her style quotient as she landed in the city to promote her upcoming film ‘Aisha’ on Saturday.

Donning a short white top, grey blazer and skin-fit black trousers, complemented with a stylish hat and red high heels, Sonam was in high spirits while talking about the film.

“I play a girl who is yet to become a woman. She is a ‘happy-go-lucky’ person whose aim in life is to get all her friends get married to rich men,” Sonam told reporters at Fame Cinemas in South City Mall here.

“The story is an adaptation of Jane Austin’s novel ‘Emma’, but we tried to do it in our own way…keeping in kind today’s time and the Indian society,” said Sonam.

Sonam said she had a lot of fun while shooting the film.

“There were mostly girls on the sets and we used to have a blast. Besides, there were a lot of Bengalis on the sets and much to my disappointment, they used to chat away in their mother-tongue and I used to miss the fun.

“However, thanks to them, I got to taste the most delicious dishes like mustard fish, fried brinjal and Bengal gram dal (cholar dal),” said Sonam.

Asked if she is interested in doing Bengali films, she said: “Of course. Though I don’t know the language, I will learn if get a good script. The film has to be a classic…may be an adaptation of a novel…and I should be able to play the protagonist.”

Sonam was accompanied by her sister and producer of ‘Aisha’ Rhea Kapoor and her co-actors Cyrus Sahukar, Ira Dubey, Lisa Haydon and Arunoday Singh.
