Sonam plays Santa Claus for Anganwadi kids

Mumbai: Actress Sonam Kapoor took over Santa Claus's duty by distributing Christmas gifts to about 500 Anganwadi children at suburban Bandra today.
The ''Joy in the Box'', an initiative of the Mumbai branch of Chennai-based Landmark International Foundation for Empowerment Trust (LIFE), had collected over 2,000 educational toys to benefit more than 5,000 Anganwadi children through contributions from the city's schools, corporates and philanthropists.
''They may not have many things we take for granted, but with proper education, they can acheive their dreams,'' said actress. After distributing educational toys the excited kids and their parents, the event also honoured outstanding Anganwadi workers.
