B-Town designer Manish Malhotra has been planning his directorial debut for the past few years and it still hasn't taken off. But his nephew Punit Malhotra is all set to direct a film for Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. The romantic comedy stars Imran Khan and Sonam Kapoor.

Reveals a source, "Punit has been working with Dharma Productions for over a year. He has assisted Karan and was also an assistant for Dostana." It is learnt that Punit has also penned the script for his romantic comedy.
Uncle Manish couldn't be happier. He confirms, "Punit has been working with Karan for long. He is starting his film now with Imran and Sonam from September."

About the delay of his film, Manish says, "I have been busy with the design work and my other commitments that I have not got the time to write. This year I am doing clothes for 12 movies and so I will start making my film only next year."

Initially, Manish was to make the film for Suneel Darshan's production house but now he has moved away and will make his film for good friend KJo's company.

But when is the big question!
