Sonam Kapoor isn't an actor only. She wants to be an upright citizen. So, she is very keen on exercising her franchise in the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls, which likely to be held in the next few months. She considers this as her obligation to the country; after all she is already 23 years old. She emphasizes, "Every youngster should start voting because it is we who choose our leaders for the betterment of our country." Who knows she might actively participate in politics like her other senior actors though in the distant future, as the coming Lok Sabha polls are too close for her.

Anil Kapoor might be happy to know that his daughter wouldn't lag behind in the political arena. Anil Kapoor has won so many accolades and awards for his Outstanding Performance in the recently released and widely appreciated 'Slumdog Millionaire". May God bless her! However, for now she is anxiously awaiting the release of her second film 'Delhi-6'. She wishes every youth sees the movie. "It is my second release. What is more interesting is that the film is a platform for people with aspirations," she adds. Her debut movie was 'Saawariya'.
