Bhaag Milkha Bhaag: Coming in July 2013

The biopic of the Flying Sikh Milkha Singh titled ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ which stars Farhan Akhtar in the lead role is slated to be released in July.
The film is directed by the director famous for churning out films like ‘Rang De Basanti’ and ‘Delhi 6’, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. It is said that Flying Sikh Milkha Singh took just one rupee from the director to allow him to make Singh’s biopic. The special thing about the currency note is that it was made in 1958, the year when the athlete won the first gold medal for Independent India in Commonwealth Games. It is considered as a priceless token of appreciation for the athlete. The legendary athlete never cared about money for permitting the film, he only wanted that the movie should be made in such a way that it inspires more youngsters to join and earn medals in athletics. This Christmas actress Sonam Kapoor will turn Santa Claus. No, she isn’t getting into Santa’s garb to celebrate the season’s festivities, instead she will be spreading cheer by bringing smiles to the kids of an NGO for whom she intends to raise money. For this, the actress has decided to auction online around 60 ensembles from her uberchic closet that includes an assortment of international labels and high-end desi designer brands.
This online auction will start on Christmas eve. Talking about turning Santa for a cause, Sonam says that it’s the best way to celebrate Christmas as the proceeds will go towards the cause of education, a cause that she feels about very strongly about. “I feel that if even one child’s education is taken care of, it’s actually a reason to celebrate and here we are aiming to support atleast 300 underprivileged children from the NGO Smile Foundation,” says Sonam, who, with this adds yet another cause that she supports to her list. “I feel that I am very blessed and this is my way of giving something back to the society.
